David Colton is an 18-year-old young man full of life, aspirations, and dreams for his own future. As a baby, he was adopted by loving parents who had lost their biological children.

One day, his biological mother contacts him, wanting to meet him. David hesitates at first, but eventually agrees to the meeting.

The meeting with his biological mother—and eventually his biological father as well—is full of emotions and surprises. On his journey to meet his parents, he is accompanied by his adoptive parents and his eccentric friend Nate, who documents the entire journey on video.
