Beyond the Night
The true story of a missionary couple who opened a modest clinic in a predominantly Muslim state in Africa. Their work drew people from hundreds of miles away and across the desert.
Even doctors from local hospitals bring patients to the clinic run by John and Bettie Dreisbach. They usually choose to do so because they can’t help their patients.
After a while, John and Bettie are given a knife to the throat by the local government. Either they stop preaching the gospel or they close their clinic. The lack of medical facilities in the country is a secondary concern for the leaders in the country.
The courage of this couple in the face of intense persecution is an example of faithfulness and love for God.
