The film goes through several moments in the life of Father Jerzy. It highlights his humanity and determination to stand by people struggling with a difficult fate.
Before Jerzy becomes a target of the communist police, he delivers courageous sermons in which he does not mince words. He denounces communist legislation aimed against the freedom and welfare of the people and their violent actions.
