Tyler is an eight-year-old boy surrounded by a loving family and community, but suffering from cancer. He is armed with the courage of his faith to face his daily battle with cancer. For Tyler, God is a teacher and a close friend with whom he longs to interact daily.
So he writes letters to God, which later reach different people. In time, the letters find their way to the local postman, Brady McDaniels, and through him to other people.
Brady is a postman with his own troubled life. By reading the letters, he becomes entangled in Tyler’s life and directly into his family. Tyler’s letters inspire him to seek a better life for himself and his own son, whom he lost to alcohol addiction.
