A charming film full of pleasant humour, interesting ideas and charm that abounds in the individual actors.
Priest O’Malley arrives at a failing parochial school where he finds his views clashing with those of the Sister Superior. They regularly have to deal with the various problems of the pupils, ranging from their squabbles with each other to more serious family difficulties.
They also experience various interesting moments at the parish school. From teaching self-defense to their pupils when needed to working with a wealthy businessman to help get the school out of a crisis situation.
The film’s exemplary personality is the well-meaning, yet principled and straightforward Priest O’Malley. Sister Benedict, however, is not far behind him.
