A true story about boys and an almost fairy-tale grandfather from a Protestant background. A very nice story about forgiveness and friendship and concern for others, even those who hurt and hurt.
Dustin is a little boy experiencing childhood joys and worries. With his friends, one day he befriends an older gentleman, Jonathan Sperry.
Jonathan Sperry is a lovable, good-natured grandfather who wins the boys over with delicious lemonade and delicious desserts that he invites them to. In addition to the camaraderie, Jonathan Sperry explains the Bible to the boys and guides them to do good.
He also wins over the boys who were among the troublemakers who bullied the other kids in town. After some time, Jonathan Sperry dies, but leaves behind many of his followers. His simple work bears rich fruit.
