A film about the two faces of the Church. One that goes among people and transforms their lives with its own dedication and love. And the other, which has become complacent and its entire commitment is based on financial gifts, which can be overridden by personal interests, without taking into account the needs of others.
Pastor Ethan and Pastor Jake are friends from neighboring congregations. They share the same faith, the same city, but live in different worlds. Pastor Jake is trying to address the drug addict problem in the area where his black church is located and Jake’s wife is dedicated to delivering prostitutes from their self-destructive lifestyles.
In contrast, Ethan and his father are in a predominantly white congregation where they lead comfortable lives without much missionary activity.
In one speech, Pastor Jake doesn’t mince words, and he doesn’t spare his sponsors in the process. His words lure Pastor Ethan, and he decides to help out in the neighborhood church with delivering the people on the street from their bondage to sin.
The filmmakers raise one of the fundamental problems in the church, which is the lack of personal involvement and commitment behind the gates of churches among a large number of Christians.
