A touching film that is an American adaptation of a true Japanese story about a devoted dog named Hachiko. The plot is sweet and sad at the same time, but not sad in a negative way, because loyalty is certainly a beautiful quality.
Hachiko is an extraordinary dog who lives in the family of university professor Parker Wilson. He accompanies his master to the train station every morning and returns in the afternoon to greet him.
One day, however, Parker dies and does not return to the station. Despite his master’s death, Hachiko faithfully waits in the same place day after day for nine years, hoping for Parker’s return.
A legend of a dog’s loyal devotion to his master and how even the most ordinary ritual can become the greatest and purest declaration of love.
