Johnny: Everyone Has a Special Mission
A story about the mission of little Johnny, who is slowly dying but nevertheless brings hope, love, and faith into the life of a family struck by a great tragedy.
Johnny is a young boy who is slowly dying of cancer. He lives in a home for orphaned children because he lost his parents in a car accident when he was just a toddler.
A few months before his death, he meets Dr. Drew Carter, who has a wife and daughter. Some time ago, their son died, and Drew’s wife is having the hardest time coping with this loss.
Drew becomes such good friends with Johnny that he wants Johnny to come live with them. The problem, however, is Drew’s wife, who is strictly against it for emotional reasons.
After several complications, Johnny eventually spends some time with Drew’s family, but later Drew’s wife sends him away. Ultimately, however, she too heals to some extent from her emotional pain and comes to get Johnny so she can give him a home, at least for a short time before his death.
