The story of two grieving families, each of which has lost a parent, coming together. A true story set in the United States about how, in the wake of their great loss, the mutual support of these two families led them to form new bonds, where love prevailed and they ultimately became one big family.

Gina, a mother of two sons, loses her husband Matt, who succumbed to cancer. Before the end of his life, Matt managed to leave behind video recordings full of profound thoughts and advice for his sons and his wife, Gina.

Shortly after this tragic event, Cathy Spehnová, Michael’s wife, also passes away, leaving Michael to care for his three orphaned children. Gina and Michael try to take care of their families as best they can, but each of them has their own natural shortcomings in certain areas.

That’s why Gina sometimes goes over to help Michael with cooking and laundry, and Michael, in turn, helps Gina assemble a new bed and teaches her sons how to do DIY projects and play basketball. Over time, something more than friendship develops between them, but despite their mutual affection and the friendships between their children, everything becomes considerably more complicated.
