An inexperienced 24-year-old teacher at the very beginning of her career. She faces a difficult task—overcoming her fears and prejudices to change the lives of homeless children who gather in her makeshift classroom at a shelter located next to the railroad tracks.

When Stacey starts her first teaching job in Salt Lake City, she is stunned. She is in a classroom known as the School Without a Name. It is located in a homeless shelter. She lacks even the most basic supplies for her work, such as desks and books.

She doesn’t give up and dares to persevere despite adversity. She wants to help her 6- to 12-year-old students break free from the vicious cycle in which their families from socially disadvantaged backgrounds are trapped. Her loving husband and her own children are her support.

At one point in her life, they even take in one of the girls whose father had been kicked out of a shelter. The story is a beautiful example of how a good teacher who loves her students can inspire them to strive for great goals. A heart-wrenching story based on a true event!
