A heartwarming family film set against the natural backdrop of the American mountains, teeming with wildlife and the beauty of the wilderness. The story of Grizzly Adams, who finds a second home as a frontiersman while fleeing injustice and discovering a life full of enchanting adventures.

Adams is forced to leave home due to a false accusation of murder. He decides to seek refuge in the wilderness.

From an early age, he is sought out by animals, who are not afraid of him and, with a few exceptions, treat him with friendliness. One day, a young grizzly bear becomes his faithful companion.

In the wilderness, he makes his way into Native American territory. When one of the Native American warriors follows him, an incident occurs in which Adams saves the Native American’s life. They become good friends, and Adams is invited to become a brother to all members of his tribe.
