I Am Potential
A true story about a father’s journey to help his blind, wheelchair-bound son overcome the impossible and allow the world to see the potential God has given him. A testimony to God’s ability to take what is, from this world’s perspective, “nothing,” and turn it into something extraordinary.
Patrick Henry Hughes is born with a severe physical disability that leaves him without eyes and unable to walk. His devoted mother devotes all her time and energy to Patrick, while his phlegmatic father’s priorities are his hobbies and work.
This imbalance of responsibilities within the family leads to Patrick’s mother feeling burned out, and she needs her husband to become more involved in fulfilling family duties.
One day, Patrick is left alone with his father, and together they discover Patrick’s passion for music. His father gradually comes to realize that his own career and hobbies are not what will fill his life with joy and peace if they come at the expense of his loved ones.
