The film Ordinary Angels is a dramatic true story directed by Jon Gunn, which focuses on a powerful and moving human story about a little girl suffering from liver disease.

Sharon, an alcoholic, decides to help a stranger and his sick daughter, about whom she read in a newspaper article. This somewhat crazy-sounding idea also stems from Sharon’s desire to help herself.

Her first major successes are ideas for raising money for Michelle’s family, to which she later adds a spectacular achievement: the forgiveness of the enormous medical debts from the past that Michelle and her mother had accumulated.

The main problem, however, remains unresolved: finding a liver for little Michelle, who needs a transplant. The situation becomes more complicated because Michelle has very little time left. Her condition is rapidly deteriorating.

The film encourages reflection on the value of family, self-sacrifice, and support from the wider community. It highlights the importance of finding meaning in every person’s life and in serving God and one’s neighbors as a path to finding contentment with one’s own life.
