A moving story of faith, determination, and spiritual strength that offers a profound glimpse into the life of a prominent figure in the Catholic Church after the end of the apparitions she received in Lourdes. A story about how God often chooses those whom the world despises.

In the convent, Bernadette experiences humiliation and contempt from her fellow sisters. Because of her lack of education, she is labeled as “good for nothing.” Nevertheless, she tries to accept these things as a gift meant to teach her greater humility and love.

On several occasions, the convent expects her to die, but after some time she always recovers. God uses even these moments for her good.

Among other things, Bernadette displayed the gift of prophecy during this period, surprising those who came into contact with her. Her simplicity, directness, humor, and radiant love eventually transformed the hearts even of those who had doubted her credibility.

This film is a sequel to the 1988 film *Bernadette* by the same director, Jean Delammoy.
