Soñador – called Sonya – was a great horse whose promising career on the racetrack was halted by a broken leg. Suddenly she becomes completely useless to her owner, so Ben gets her as a severance package when he is laid off from his job.
Thanks to the immense determination of Ben’s daughter Cale, he manages to get Sonya back in shape. Soon, Cale and the rest of her family set a goal of winning the prestigious Breeders Cup Classic.
But they don’t have enough money to achieve this goal and other obstacles and offers are put in their way.
