Home Run
An interesting story about baseball, alcoholism, childhood injuries, and ultimately, the turnaround in the life of a famous player after hitting rock bottom.
Cory is an outstanding baseball player who is admired by many fans and, thanks to his athletic career, is also very wealthy. However, everything in his life gradually begins to change as he becomes increasingly consumed by his alcohol addiction.
His problems are largely rooted in his childhood, as his father was also an alcoholic who abused his family.
After many excesses, he is forced to spend some time in his hometown, where he must attend sessions with a group of people struggling with various addictions and difficulties.
He begins coaching children alongside his wife, with whom he has a son from his youth. At first, it doesn’t seem like anything is changing in Cory’s life, but later—through the testimonies of others—he comes to know Jesus and is converted. Thanks to this, he finds his way back to his estranged family.
