The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Edmund and Lucy, the two youngest of the Pevensie children, are spending the holidays with their cousin in Cambridge. The siblings often reminisce about the kingdom of Narnia and the fantastic adventures they had there together. The boredom comes to an end the moment a picture of a ship hanging on the wall suddenly comes to life.
Lucy, Edmund and their cousin Eustace once again find themselves in Narnia. This time with the help of a painting of a ship that hangs in Lucy’s room.
They find themselves in the sea from where they are rescued by King Caspian, whom the children, along with their siblings Peter and Susan, helped to the royal throne in the previous episode. Caspian is on a rescue expedition to find the seven lost lords.
Aslan helps Lucy realize her worth in this installment, despite the fact that she’s not quite as beautiful as her sister, which she has quite a problem with. Edmund briefly becomes the black sheep of the expedition again when his desire for gold and riches blinds him.
Eustace undergoes a transformation, and this is largely due to the persistent and kindly approach of Reepie Chip. Thanks to him and the cohesion of the entire ship’s crew, the expedition eventually manages to defeat even a seemingly unbeatable monster.
Parents Guide: Battles with various enemies, which fortunately are not depicted too naturalistically.
