An excellent adaptation of the book about Orphan Anne that has captured the hearts of several generations. The excellent casting, witty dialogue and unforgettable music make this multi-part film a cut above the rest in its genre.
Matthew and Marilla decide to take in an orphan boy into their home. However, the situation takes a somewhat unexpected turn and a red-haired girl named Anna Shirley arrives at their house.
It is clear from the initial communication that Anna is an unusual phenomenon. Her extraordinary imagination and unconventional view of the world are not only rewarding, but sometimes quite annoying.
Anna quickly settles into her new surroundings and makes new friends. With these she experiences various interesting life moments and one friendship develops into a lifelong love.
Parents Guide: Sometimes an exaggerated romantic meltdown. A couple of times a kiss of lovers. Saying God's name in vain.
Cast: Megan Follows, Jonathan Crombie, Colleen Dewhurst, Richard Farnsworth, Patricia Hamilton, Schuyler Grant, Jackie Burroughs
Crew: Kevin Sullivan
