The Blind Side
The Blind Side is a story about the power of family, about love and sacrifice for others, and about the greatness of the gifts we have received from God that we should use in service to others. The true story of the transformation of a forgotten black boy into one of the best players in American football.
Leigh Anne meets Michael Oher, an abandoned black boy. When she learns of his plight, she decides to take him in.
Mike begins attending Wingate Christian School. His results are below average in almost everything except for a sort of “defensive instincts”. But he meets with a lot of support from several local teachers there, and his new mom, Leigh Anne, gets him a personal tutor.
Leigh Anne is a sensitive woman who often tries to hide her tender interior with her sharpness. As is the way of life, Leigh Anne is not always met with understanding from those around her for what she does. Her family, and especially her husband, are her support system.
After a while, Mike begins to reap success in American football. Several coaches of good teams notice him and start giving Mike lucrative offers. The efforts of Leigh Anne and her family, along with Mike’s talent, are eventually crowned by Mike’s acceptance to the university.
Parents Guide: One intimate scene between Leigh Anne and her husband, but it is relatively discreet. Sometimes quite attractively to provocatively dressed by some of the women. One time a vulgar expression. Saying God’s name in vain.
