Love’s Enduring Promise
True love is determined to wait for the right one. A film that tells not only about the love between a man and a woman, but also about the love of a son for his father.
Missy Davis is a young teacher in a small rural school. One day she meets Grand Thomas, who works on the railroad, and who is interested in Missy.
Missy’s father soon seriously injures his leg with an axe and his life is saved by young Neight, who finds and cures him. Missy’s father cannot work in the fields after his injury and must be replaced by his wife and daughter. Neight also comes to their aid.
Neight comes from a nearby home where he fled years ago when a tragic event occurred in their family and their family was torn apart. Neight’s younger brother died then, and it was Neight who inadvertently caused his death.
Neight returned to his native county to make peace with his father. His presence entangles several relationships unfolding in this county.
