Mac McDonald’s son died in an accident, and Mac’s life is filled with pain and bitterness. For the next seventeen years, Mac is unable to cope with the situation, and his family suffers as well. Mac is angry at God and everyone around him.
Mac’s anger also affects his police career. When Sam Wright, a pastor and rising star in their police department, becomes his partner, the situation escalates even further.
