The story of a blind, kind-hearted boy named Mohammad, who perceives the world around him as a miracle through his other senses.

Mohammad spends the school year at a boarding school for blind children in Tehran. During the holidays, he goes home, where his grandmother’s love and adventures with his sisters await him.

Mohammad’s father is a widower who, rather selfishly, is planning his future—a future in which there isn’t much room for his son Mohammad. One day, Mohammad’s father takes his son to a blind carpenter so that the man can teach him the trade—and, at the same time, get rid of him.

Some time later, Mohammad’s grandmother—who loved him selflessly and cared for him with tenderness—dies. Haunted by his late grandmother’s reproaches, Mohammad’s father decides to bring Mohammad back home.

On the way home, however, a tragedy occurs that leads Mohammad’s father to fight for his son’s life and to realize that his son is a great gift to him.
