The heartwarming family comedy Clifford the Big Red Dog is an entertaining movie that will keep you engaged. Of course, if you’re allergic to constant tail-wagging, butt-sniffing, or various movie clichés, this isn’t quite the movie for you. But kids will love it.

The main character, Emily, gets Clifford as a little puppy during a visit to the tent of a strange man selling even stranger animals.

Clifford is an adorable puppy, and it seems that the only strange thing about him is his red color. Clifford becomes Emily’s good friend and a source of support, especially since she’s being bullied at school by her snobby classmates.

Emily was promised that Clifford would grow into a big dog, and his size would depend on Emily’s love. Since Emily’s love is so great, Clifford turns into an exceptionally large dog. With that, small problems turn into very big ones.

Life with Clifford in a small city apartment is quite impractical, but Emily doesn’t want to give him up. The real adrenaline rush begins when the main characters head out into the streets of New York with Clifford. And when greedy people show up who want to take Clifford for themselves.
