Big is a kind and friendly companion. However, he has one big problem. Can he, together with a little girl, defeat the terrifying, monstrous giants—man-eaters who are spreading fear throughout the land? A fantasy film aimed primarily at young audiences, directed by Steven Spielberg.

One day, Sophia, an orphan, is kidnapped by a mysterious giant wandering the streets of the city at night. She gradually realizes that the giant is actually a pretty likable guy who doesn’t want to hurt her—he’s just trying to protect his anonymity.

Sophia starts calling the giant “Friend the Giant.” She gradually learns about the remarkable methods of capturing and creating dreams that Big Friend has been devoting himself to for years.

Everything would be just fine, were it not for other, much larger and more dangerous giants who make Big Friend’s life miserable. Sophia isn’t going to let this slide, so she comes up with a plan.
