A mosaic of stories about people from India and the U.S. whose decisions in 1984 led to the worst industrial disaster in history, claiming 10,000 lives in a matter of hours. The film is based on true events.

Workers and residents of Bhopal are repeatedly assured that the American pesticide factory, built near their homes, is safe and poses no threat to them.

However, those in high-level positions know that a disaster could occur relatively easily.

One day, a company employee comes into contact with leaked cyanide and dies. Another young Indian man takes his place, full of enthusiasm about having landed a new job.

His naivety and simplicity symbolize what Western neocolonialists continue to rely on in many poor countries to this day.

An American journalist arrives in the city and begins to take an interest in the pesticide manufacturing company. She gradually uncovers that safety is an afterthought there. Shortly after her departure, an incident occurs that India will not easily forget.
