The Blue Miracle is a family drama based on a true story that follows the lives of boys in a Mexican orphanage. Thanks to its positive message, the actors’ performances, and its inspiring story, it leaves a heartwarming impression.

After a devastating hurricane, the Casa Hogar orphanage loses a large portion of its funding and its hope for survival. Caregiver Omar, along with the boys and former captain Wade, embarks on a risky plan—they will try to win a prestigious fishing tournament to raise money to save their home.

During the competition, they face problems, arguments, and their own limits, but gradually learn to work together as a team.

The pivotal turning point comes when they manage to acquire a massive fish from another fisherman. With it, they would have a chance to secure one of the top spots in the competition and a substantial cash prize—but only through cheating.
