Christmas at the Barnetts’ house isn’t just about festive cheer. Relationships within their family and among their neighbors are marked by several misunderstandings. A film about the characters’ journey toward one another, as well as about generosity, love, and reconciliation.

George Barnett learns that his friend Don Ford is suffering from depression after the loss of his wife and his daughter’s departure from home. George’s brother Allen works as a studio guitarist in Los Angeles, and, as it happens, Don’s daughter Celia also lives in that city.

George decides to track down Celia through his brother and convince her to come home to visit her father for Christmas. At first, it seems there is no hope of Celia returning to Kentucky. However, events take a different turn, and Celia eventually sets out on a road trip from Los Angeles to Kentucky with Allen.

Celia arrives at her father’s house, and it seems that nothing stands in the way of their reconciliation. Unfortunately, her father hasn’t changed much, and his strange behavior once again begins to erode their relationship.
