A true story about Australian missionary Graham Stains, who becomes the target of groups in India opposed to conversions to Christianity. A very well-made film depicting a terrible tragedy, which is ultimately overcome by the power of love, hope, and forgiveness to triumph over hatred.
Journalist Manav finds a new job, which forces him to move with his young family. His assignment is to find evidence of forced conversions to Christianity, which are illegal in India.
He focuses on Graham Staines and his mission. On the one hand, he sees the amazing charitable and missionary work that Staines has built up, thereby rescuing so many people from the clutches of deadly karma.
On the other hand, his conviction that this is not driven by sincerity but primarily by an effort to convert the local population drives him to instigate an attack against Graham Staines and his family. Although Staines and his sons die in 1999, many events are set in motion.
The film highlights the issue of the persecution of Christians around the world.
