Love Comes Softly
A bittersweet romantic drama exploring the fates of people whose lives became intertwined because of a single tragic death. The main characters are the charming widow Martha and the honest, kind-hearted Clark Davis.
Martha arrives in the Wild West with her young husband. However, he soon dies after falling from a horse he had gone out to search for.
Martha is quickly offered marriage by Clark Davis. Clark knows that marriage can help Martha and her unborn child survive in this harsh land; he himself lost his wife some time ago, and his daughter lost her mother.
Clark is willing to take care of Martha and provide her with a roof over her head. His primary desire is for his daughter to have a mother. Martha has the option of leaving Clark in the spring to return to her homeland, but Clark hopes that won’t happen.
Clark is an honest, God-fearing man who lovingly cares for both his daughter and his new wife. Gradually, a strong bond forms among them all.
