Journalist Lloyd Vogel is tasked with writing an article about Fred Rogers, creator of a cult-classic children’s show. Lloyd has a complicated relationship with his father, rooted in various wounds and unforgiveness.

Now a father himself, he is learning how to navigate this new role. Through his friendship with Fred, Lloyd gradually uncovers the roots of his problems and broken relationships. His “maturation” is not straightforward but is intertwined with various personal struggles and conflicts with his father.
