A refugee’s escape, a prisoner’s promise, and a daughter’s painful secret come together in this inspiring true story of hope. Three fathers fight to save their families, and their lives intersect on a journey across the globe, where they discover the healing power of forgiveness and reconciliation.

This is the story of three families affected by the horrors of the Rwandan genocide. Two of these families are from Rwanda itself, and one is from Nashville, Tennessee. In many ways, these families could hardly be more different.

The first family becomes refugees in their own homeland. Amid persecution and terror, they discover courage and humanity in the father of another family, who is hired by mercenaries from among the Rwandan Hutus. God’s ways bring them together through a third family living in the U.S., which is struggling with entirely different problems.

The film explores how people all over the world endure various trials and crises. It shows how faith in God strengthens the ability to overcome hardships and help others as well.
