A film about religious oppression and terror in communist China, which continues even into the 21st century. The story dramatizes the 28-year persecution of a courageous woman named Li Chenxi and her loved ones.

From a young age, Li Chenxi attended meetings of The Church of Almighty God and read the Bible with her parents. In 1988, when she was only 13 years old, she was arrested while attending a meeting and locked in a small, dark room for one day and two nights.

Since then, the Chinese Communist Party has never stopped persecuting her. At age 17, she was arrested again by the police for sending books containing God’s words to other brothers and sisters in their church. In an effort to force her to reveal the source of the books, the police brutally beat her father right before her eyes and paraded her around with a label reading “political prisoner.”

In 1996, the police came to arrest Li Chenxi again. She had no choice but to flee her hometown and begin living as a refugee. Frequent harassment and intimidation by the CCP police caused her entire family to live in constant fear, which also took a toll on their health.

In late 2012, Li Chenxi was arrested again while sharing the Gospel. She endured long months of interrogation, attempts to coerce a confession, and brainwashing.
