Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison
The story takes place during World War II on a small island in the South Pacific, where a soldier named Allison meets a nun named Angela.
The two separate worlds of the two main characters lead to misunderstandings about many aspects of their different lifestyles. Despite their differences, they respect and get to know one another.
At one point, Japanese soldiers land on the island, but Allison and Angela manage to hide in a cave in the island’s interior.
Allison provides for them, and when Angela later falls ill, he cares for her until she recovers. However, Allison complicates the situation by, for example, getting drunk or embarking on dangerous expeditions to the Japanese camp.
Allison falls in love with Angela, but she is determined to make eternal vows and remain faithful to her fiancé, Jesus Christ.
